All attempts to explain these incidents as having to do with natural cycles on a whale's calendar, or circumstances specific to this killer whale -- he was apparently used more for breeding then performing (but look at #7 to see how that worked out) seem redundant next to the more compelling argument: Wild animals don't belong in themepark freak shows.
