I don’t like the word religion. To me it just sounds absurd. I do not deny the fact that Buddhism is a religion, but the same time I think Buddhism deserved more than being called just a religion. I was raised as a Buddhist, and I agree there was a lot of BS, like reincarnation, reborn after death, karma and all the other superstitions. I mean, how would they know what happen when we die and the concepts of karma. Story of his life have been told slightly differently in different countries. and I never heard Buddha preaching about cast system. Even though I was raised in a Buddhist family I wouldn’t call myself a Buddhist or an Atheist, I just don’t like labels. Overall, in all my life, in everything I’ve learn about Buddhism I’ve never been tough to intolerance in Buddhism. I accept Buddha as a teacher, a philosopher, his words give me ideas, and tell me how to live a good life. I believe in a lot of concepts about Buddhism. Like mediating, achieving inner peace, mastering your own mind. This is why I believe Buddhism deserve more than that.

I don’t know why Buddha have pointed head like that in this pic but Buddha never wear any kind of hat. Buddha’s follower “monks” don’t wear hats either. In fact they shaved their head, they only wear one robe. And also doesn’t religion required a “god”? all powerful, all knowing creator who have control over everything. But Buddha was a human.

Suffering is a horible reason to become an atheist.
I do enjoy my life. I think about this often, but I dont waste my life over this. It didnt take a tragic event to make me become an atheist, and if that was why you became one start rethinking it over. I used logic, not anger to come to this conclusion. If you just did it out of anger then you should stop acting like you dont believe just because you are mad at God for not getting your way. Go back to believeing its a much happier life.

wa123paul, stop worrying and just enjoy the life you have. You of-course are right.
There’s only one thing I hate about new young atheists, and thats the fact that they come to their conclusions before suffering like I did.
But shit all the best to them anyway.

…but here is what im gonna say:

First of all im an atheist, but i do understand that it is impossible to prove non-existance. It is only possible to prove existance, but that doesnt make existance more likely. I understand and hope that I am wrong about religion. I want to be wrong because I dont want to just stop existing after death. This is one of the reasons that I think religion came about. It is natural for humans to want to exist. If we didnt our species would go extinct. There is fear in everyone about truely being dead when they die. By that I mean to stop existing. Like I said I too inclued myself in this desire.
