Havent seen a Buffett concert in years. Been a Buffett fan since he was a relative newcomer in the early 70's. Thats when he wrote his best stuff. Now everyone who listens to Songs you Know by Heart is an instant a-hole;I mean Parrothead. Buffett has become a marketing genius. Madoff should have invested in Buffett and he would have survived. Every spring I listen to his music but his concerts have lost their lustre. When I want to remember Buffett I return to In The Shelter. That was some of his best stuff although every once in a while he can still put out a gem. That being said, the guy sure knows how to have fun.

I just saw Buffet tonight (11/24) at MSG in NY, due to "free" tickets... and I cant agree with you more. I'm even a mild Buffet fan during the occasional beach day, and it just felt like a bland mess of drunken drones and background music. I guess I missed the boat on his appeal in concert. My experience (and the concert) were identical to the one you describe. I'd rather see Raffi.
