Loads of similar looking but far bigger stone/wood wedgers can be found around Thailand at holy sites where local women stroke it in the belief that they will bear a child. It's called a fertility cocker, part of the belief of many Thais. The major differences is that the wedger isn't actually attached to the Buddha image. good one, look forward part two.
